Vienna State Opera 2026/27 Season Opening, October 3, 2026 – the season’s first premiere – Alexander Zemlinsky’s “A Florentine Tragedy” and Béla Bartók’s “Bluebeard’s Castle”, Wiener Staatsoper,Vienna, Austria.

October 3, 2026, marks the season’s first premiere, featuring two one-act Expressionist masterpieces: Alexander Zemlinsky’s “A Florentine Tragedy” and Béla Bartók’s “Bluebeard’s Castle”. Alain Altinoglu conducts, and Vasily Barkhatov directs. Asmik Grigorian will sing the leading female roles in both works.
