The premiere of the opera “The Queen of Spades” in Vienna in March 2027 is notable for three key factors: a powerful star-studded cast representing a new generation, a unique concept by director Evgeny Titov, and the contrasting social aesthetics of the set design.
For this production, the Vienna Opera has assembled leading performers acclaimed worldwide for their definitive interpretations of Russian classics.
A special, exclusive screening of the entire production will be organized for young people—a dress rehearsal held as a private youth premiere. It will take place on March 12, 2027 (Friday) as part of the Vienna Opera’s famous “U27” program (for audiences under the age of 27).
